Tashkent has many amazing museums representing the history and culture of the region. These institutions preserve a rich heritage and offer fascinating exhibitions reflecting the history of art, archeology and folk traditions.

On the first floor of the museum exhibition, the history of the Uzbek automobile industry is presented, divided into two parts: “Retro” and “Modern”. In the "Retro" zone, visitors can get acquainted with the evolution of vehicles from the creation of the wheel and cart to modern cars. Here you can see restored models of such cars as Volkswagen Beetle, Ford, Pobeda, Chaika, Moskvich-400 and Moskvich-412. On the second floor there is an interactive area of the museum, where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of mathematics, astronomy and advanced technologies, and take tests on special simulators.

The museum's exhibition includes approximately 250 thousand exhibits, including about 60 thousand archaeological ones. Among the unique finds are the remains of a primitive man from the Selungur Grotto, dating back to 1.5 million years BC, as well as a stone sculpture depicting two snakes and other valuable artifacts. Visitors are offered the opportunity to visit the museum’s souvenir shop, where they can purchase products of Uzbek folk and applied art.

The museum, dedicated to the commander Amir Timur, presents the history of the development of the Central Asian territory during his reign and dynasty. The uniqueness of the museum is manifested in the 8.5-meter chandelier with more than 100 thousand crystal pendants, descending from the ceiling of the main hall. The main exhibits are a copy of Usman's Koran and a large panel depicting the life of Amir Timur in miniature style, divided into three parts with episodes from the birth to the death of the ruler.

The Museum of Railway Equipment in Tashkent, one of the main attractions of the city, was opened in 1989 in honor of the centenary of the railways of Uzbekistan. This unique museum is an open-air collection of steam and diesel locomotives that were once operated in the country. Here visitors can see historical trains that played an important role in the development of railway transport in Uzbekistan.

The exhibits stored in the museum's treasuries are classified into three groups according to their artistic features. The first group includes works of applied art, exquisitely created on the basis of ancient traditions and schools. The second group represents works with artistic ornaments, developed using traditional methods of folk craftsmen, starting from the second half of the twentieth century. The third group of exhibits presented in the museum consists of modern works of art, decorated with multi-colored ornaments in the context of the development of modern applied art. The collected collections of museum exhibits are divided into 20 categories and presented in corresponding exhibitions.
